Hi! My Name is Katie Propheter. I’m a Zoni, born and raised in that dry desert land. Arizona State University is where I’m studying social work. I love being outdoors, or doing anything active. Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Flag Football, Running, Horseback riding, Water skiing, and Jet skiing are some of my favorite things to be doing. Not everything has to be done outside though, I also love playing the piano, singing, dancing of all sorts, learning new languages, and drawing.
Most important of all, I am a child of Christ. My parents are believers and they raised me by biblical standards. Growing up my parents introduced me to a lot of people who had lived or traveled all over the world. Despite never being able to take us out of the country, they taught me to love all people. I was so intrigued by the stories and different backgrounds of each person that I found myself falling in love with countries I had never been to. When I was twelve, my dearly beloved aunt died from cancer. God used that event to bring me to himself. From that moment on I was certain that I had to go to these countries to tell them about my God.
So here I am living my dream. I have been so blessed to travel to Mexico on several occasions to spread God’s word. God taught me so many things while I was there, and instilled in me a passion to really know Him. I am so excited to get to know all of you and see what glorious things our Dad is going to do through us and for us!
