Good Morning Everyone!
My name is Beth Arnold ( I’m the brunette) and I am so excited to say that I will be one of the leaders this summer on our Kenyan Adventure!!!! I’m 22 and I’m from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Right now I’m a junior at Liberty University in Virginia majoring in Youth Ministry with a minor in Drama Ministry. I enjoy a g

ood book, I’m a movie fanatic, and I love being outside and people watching. I believe that laughter truly is one of the best medicines, and I love to tell and hear funny stories!
Shakespeare said,” I think of Africa and golden joys.”- 2 Henry IV
When I think of Africa it’s like coming home to me. I grew up as a missionary kid going back and forth between the states and Africa every three to four years. I lived in Uganda and Zimbabwe as a child. After high school I took a year of and did AIM’s FYM program in Kenya. I lived in Kibera and learned to love the African people in a deep way.
I thought that it would be years before I would find my way back to Kenya, but I am so thankful that God has opened up the doors for me to come now. This is going to be a beautiful summer of ministry and pulling hearts closer to God’s. One of my favorite verses, that I really fell in love with three years ago when I was in Kenya for the first time is Isaiah 58 : 9b-11 This is my prayer for our summer.
” If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”

I am so excited about meeting you. I too think laughter is one of the best medicines, and I do it quite often. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences with growing up in the states and in Africa. It sounds like you have an amazing heart for the Lord, and I can’t wait to be around that for 2 months! Have a great day!
Grace and Peace

I can’t wait to meet you and hear your stories from when you were younger. I love that verse:)
